March. 2007 – We’re very excited to announce that we will be offering our book exclusively as a hardcover edition. This means a much more durable and lasting product for our readers. Lord knows those children have a way of wrecking things. Unfortunately, this also means a slight delay in production. The book will now be released in mid May 2007. Thanks for your patience. It’s going to be worth it!
March. 2007 – We’re going to be accepting pre-orders by the end of the month and as a bonus incentive the first 500 copies will be autographed – and not just by Jon! Each of the 500 will be numbered and also signed by Demo himself – a big ol’ pawprint in non-toxic paint. Sounds silly? Well, we’re silly guys. Just let us know if you want one when you order.
May 2007 – HOLY BISQUITS AND GRAVY! As of May 30th, 2007 Demo, the Story of a Junkyard Dog is in print and available exclusively right here! At some point in early 2008 Amazon.com and Barnesandnoble.com will have it as well – but not as cheap as here! We want to thank all our pre-order customers for believing in our project and helping to make it a true grass-roots success. You’re the best!
June 2007 – Jon was an honored guest on Animalwiseradio.com on June 24th. He spoke with them about the book, what inspired him to write it, and the politics of owning Pit Bulls. If you’ve never listened to their weekly show, here’s your reason to start now! Every Sunday they broadcast live, Noon to 2pm central time and discuss many pet related stories and information. Check out their podcast archives link to listen to any of their past shows. You can listen to Jon’s segment HERE
July 07 – Jon, Demo and the book were featured in a NY POST article by Julia Szabo. Julia tirelessly advocates for Pit Bulls and rescued animals everywhere, so please check out her regular column in the Sunday Post and drop her a line of support when you can. Read the article here.
October 07 – The incredibly talented Joy Ward gives Demo, the Story of a Junkyard Dog a glowing review at Dogster’s For the Love of Dog Blog. Joy’s blog is arguably the web’s most popular hub for important canine related news and entertainment. We’re very thankful for her terrific work. Read the review here. Join Dogster here
November 07 – HAPPY HOLIDAYS! Its time for thanks and gifts, and we’re giving both! For starters, all books sold from November 10th to December 31st will include illustrator Scott Brun’s autograph in addition to Jon’s and Demo’s. We’ll also be giving away, to one lucky customer, a special copy of Demo with a one of a kind, original Scott Brun’s holiday illustration on the dedication page! But wait, we’re not done there – We’re also going to donate $100.00 to the Pit Bull-related rescue/charity chosen by the individual who purchases the most copies of Demo during the holiday season.Go to our Holiday Contest to learn more and win!
December 2007 – HOLY GUACAMOLE! We were just given rave reviews at one of the Web’s most creative pet blogs, digandscratch.com. Dave Baker, their talented writer and editor came to Brooklyn to interview Jon about the book and Pit Bulls in general. A fun time was had by all, until Demo and his buddy Brinks ruined the party by sniffing each other’s butts before rubbing noses with the cameraman! Check out the review and video HERE
January 2008 – Holiday Contest Winners!! Congratulations to Eddie Samaniego and Jennifer Horsman! These two wonderful people are the winners of our 2007 Holiday Contest! We want to thank each and every one of you who purchased copies during the contest period. It was a huge success. In fact we almost sold out our inventory of the book’s first edtion!
January 2008 – LIMITED SUPPLIES! Our inventory for the book’s first edition (a.k.a. Pedro’s edition) are very low, and once they’re gone, they are gone. If you’re interested in keeping the book as a collectable, you’ll want won of these scarce copies. Meanwhile the wheels are in motion to ensure the second edItion of Demo (Bucky;s edtion) will be available before spring. We apologize for any lag in availability.
February 2008 – JUMPIN’ JEHOSHAPHAT! We’ve got three – count ‘em – three new reviews of the book out this month. The tireless, Barbara J. Andrews gave us a short, sweet and positive review in her nationally distributed National Pet Press and at her website, thedogplace.org. Martha Garvey, author of My Fat Dog gave us a terrific endorsement at the Bookhounds Blog at Fetchdog.com. Last, but not least, the American Dog Breeder’s Gazette will be running a review. To learn more about them visit their site
We’d like to thank all the people who made this project possible. Without their time, help, criticism, support and understanding, this book may have never been published. Indeed, if it was published without, it would have been lesser for it.

Do you have a licensed educational program or non-profit organization that can benefit from Demo’s message? Do you run a non-profit, positive Pit Bull organization or program? Well, we want to partner-up our project with your selfless endeavor. Please contact us directly as we give significant large volume discounts and non-profit discounts.
It’s permanent! All copies sold from the site will be available autographed by both Jon and Demo. That’s right, a big ol’ Demo paw print! Sounds ridiculous? You betcha! But who doesn’t love the idea of a dog signing his memoirs with a sloppy paw covered in dog-friendly ink? Just let us know in the comment box on your order page if you want an autograph, and who to address your copy(s) to, and consider it done.
